I mean it depends on the quality and durability. I will go above $100 for something that I will be able to use for a long time, and has great sound for music.

The annoying one that requires your volume to be extremely high for a short period of time, tapping on your laptop and recording it. It failed halfway through so the experiment was cut short.

I got some Sennheisers from Goodwill a while back. They're very nice.

I think they're ridiculous expensive though. Dunno. They sound good though

There's probably some chinese reverse engineered kncokoffs

You want them. I 100% stand by them for sound quality. The only issue is the inside padding can shed but I just took some tape to that and fixed it.

I had some Sennheisers years ago and they were great. I can't remember the model though.

But for real, these things have lasted me being a fucking child to my equipment. They hold up SO well. I'm super stupidly rude to my stuff when I shouldn't be and these things don't show any wear outside the pad shed.

How is the wire on those? Does it seem fairly durable?

I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 4.40's that I love. Bluetooth or Wired. Hard to go wrong with Sennheiser, honestly.

VERY durable on the removable. It has the extra structure around the jack so that it doesn't do that stupid fraying. NEVER had an issue with the cord ever. This is the second pair of these for my husband and we only replaced his because they were like 10 years old and I was giving them to him as a gift.

    Thanks guys.

Now I just have to convince the wife that I want to spend upwards up $150 on a pair of headphones. Whatever, she goes through at least 20 pairs of the $5 ones a year!

Looks like the nearest equivilent to the 4.40's right now is the HD350 BT or the HD450BT if you want active noise cancelation.

I've also heard good things about about the ATH M50x
