I'm not sure if it's relevant, but everyone I know in my local area has experienced reduced speeds. I pay for 200 mbs download and I usually even get more than that but for the last week or so I've been capped at 30 mbs download speeds. It's Comcast as well, I tried calling twice and reset the modem etc. and even they say I should be getting the speeds I pay for and yet I'm not..
sounds like a bad node somewhere, call in around like 11am EST and use the term they hate to hear "gateway issues" that *SHOULD* get you to a better tier of support
I liked it better when I could run a VPS near the local amazon datacenter with 5ms ping to grab all the hits, alas, had to stop due to too many scammers also using a VPS to hide their location.
