I'm so disappointed!
My new cables came in, and there was no doubt that they were going to triple my internet speed!
(They didn't. I know! Can you believe it?)
The premise was good. Get rid of two old CAT (no offense to our feline friends!) 5 cables which were
unnecessarily long at 6 feet each, and replace them with sleek new CAT 8 cables at the 'all that's needed'
lengths of 1 and 2 feet. I think my beautiful old router has become a 'bottleneck'. Just bypassed it, and
went directly from modem to computer and basically doubled my speed. Poop.
In the meantime, those bright white 'minimalist' cables sure are nice-looking, aren't they?
At least they're a lot better than the huge tangled messes of bleached yellow-blue cable that I used to
have all over the desk and floor. I included the micro 'traffic cone' for the benefit of those who previously
mentioned that they like 'little stuff'. It's usually in a slightly different place on the desk. It's the only little
thing I have, but it cracks me up in an affectionate way. I have no idea why spectrum (no capital S for you!)
put those stupid stickers on the modem. HELLO!? I know I can be a little picky sometimes, but blocking
ventilation holes? Now that I have a picture, the stickers are gone! A super Saturday/Sunday to all!
