I'm trying to optimize work, but I don't have a second monitor. If I get one of those mice that flows across both laptops and have my hit scraper/catcher on one laptop while I'm working on the other will it do essentially the same thing? Sorry if that's a dumb question I've barely used anything besides an iPad since 2017.

 

Yes, and personally I prefer to work with that style of setup (and have) if multi-monitor actually isn't an option (but 100% multi-monitor on a single machine is preferred). I think my first 3 months on MTurk were fully like that because at the time my 2nd desktop needed a monitor and I already had Synergy (which is an awesome app and well worth the cost IMO vs free apps like Microsoft's Windows Without Borders but that also works for your use case and is totes free).

OTOH, some people also create virtual desktops and work that way. I'm less familiar with that personally but it might be worth a quick google.

It's not as seamless, but it's honestly not bad for a semi-laid back workflow. It's fine for surveys w/ mturks auto queue advance.. not really acceptable for absolute optimized bath performance but something like link clump could help fill in the gap in the meantime.

Also idk about laptops but you might be able to just hijack the display? No clue there sorry.
