It's a mix of work and gaming but I aint talking the highest end gaming either though. I have NO Clue what I'm doing here to be honest outside of knowing how to stuff the adult legos together. Specs and shit are just like numbers that float away in my brain. idk, like toss a pcpartpicker list together for me and I would legit just follow that

 

Yea but why buy a t1 cooler for a t5 processor lol..

 

Like I'm able to slap that Grinch together and make it run, but I'm not sure on what to actually get that makes sense

 

agree.. just get artic silver or some good thermal paste and whatever crap cooler will be fine. Unless you want to overclock the shit out of it, then you are in another world.

T1 cooler on a T3.5 chip, people do odd things for cooling, i just usually nod and smile with people's choices in cooling

I think you should shop for the best bang for the buck and ignore the latest unavailable crap. There are great machines that can be built from that inventory.

 

Everything from FFXIV to Warframe, Warthunder, Genshin Impact, Hades, One Step From Eden, VA-11 HALL-A, Valheim, Red Orchestra, all Dark Souls, Path of Exile/Diablo styles, LOL, Deep Rock Galactic ect. ect. ect.

I play just about anything and everything that I can get my hands on

 

The reddit link I posted isn't a bad place to start. It even has pcpartspicker links. They are vetted regularly and tested. Swap as you see fit, but it's a good start.

 

i just spun up like 8 builds just off that R5 chip, its the gdamn gfx card prices that basically murder anybodys build prices lately. i used to be able to run up a good gaming pc for $700ish and now thats the fucking gfx card price alone

 

I suuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Diablo is the only thing I've played on this list.

 

If she went onboard graphics, she could still play several things and hold out for better prices

I don't game, and I don't spend more than 1-1,2k/build, but this is what I put together when my last PC was dying w/ help from RA/A6




For work this is fantastic. I regularly have visual studio, vsc, and like 30 jetbrains memory/cpu eating ides open and no problems unless I haven't rebooted chrome in 8 weeks since I keep 600 tabs open lmao.

Least favorite part is the MB.. MSI is trash

 

nothing hugely hardcore there, itll make it easier on getting a gfx card then cause you dont need to get the BAEA card

I have a 580 also. Works well. No issues yet. Hope it stays that way until the next graphics dump of money.
