There's a reason the TO looks like it does. Many of us got rejections from one of their buggy hits; as in, we did everything properly, everything loaded, but they had an error on their end, where they rejected. Mine you, on a single hit in one of the batches. I'm just a pinch over 246000 hits, I have less than 10 rejections. That's one of them.

I just assume the people who do these don't need the money from mturk, don't really care about rejections, and probably also play the lottery.

I also don't take rejection well. Not saying that I'm going to go spit on that douchebag with his stupid Facebook company, but I'm definitely going to say bad things about him and his company in an online forum. You just watch!

Any idea why some images don't load up with the live feed? I have to refresh the page to see them.

 

The image I linked originally was protected so it can't be loaded by other sites. I had to change the link (which is why it worked on refresh).

In general though images from a non-SSL source will be blocked, images with an incorrect file type association seem to be blocked, and anything >5MB in size wont be uploaded.

Shouldn't non ssl just give a warning in the console? I've never had images not load because of it.

 

On the user end, yeah.

But hosting embedding non-SSL images will cause some browsers to revoke the SSL cert / deem it invalid (because, well, you're no longer serving secure content). It took like 2-3 days for Google to e-mail me threatening to revoke my little green icon before I added the image proxy.

Because of that what I've set the forum to try to do is take anything non-SSL and upload it to my server, then rehost it here. Sometimes it fails, most of the time because the link is incorrect or incomplete (imgur screwing around with their extensions "not mattering" causes it to fail mostly from what I've seen). Sometimes its because the image is massive and server just says "nah bro, too big for me, here take an ugly placeholder image instead."

 

Is there some reason you rehost the image? I realized that was happening when I drag someones image to another tab and see the url is a proxy. I know if I do that on other places, the url is still the same imgur link.
