There isn't any real difference between userscripts in the workspace and a normal browser tampermonkey, other than not needing to use funky comment meta-data to make the script run.

Eth's old video series explains scripting a HIT pretty well though IMO: https://forum.turkerview.com/threads/learning-to-script-amt-hits.142/

I'm working on some documentation for some of the workspace specific APIs (returning HITs, etc), but not even far enough along on that to really shoot over a link yet
