True, but what if I got 100 rejections??? I would have to kill myself- plus going through the Amazon verification again, I don't want a bunch of rejections showing up out of nowhere.

I've always thought MTurk was best for "crowd sourcing" (Idk if that's the right word) data and not for getting the one correct answer for a question (unless you do a really good job at setting it up). For example the A9s: ask a few people if two pairs of shoes look similar and take the average response as the "human opinion" then feed that to your AI for it to learn something subjective. Surveys and studies work this way too (as they like to tell you there's no right answer.) If you need to get exact, accurate data, you need to learn to set it up properly or you'll get bad responses. GWF and VRAPI seem to have figured it out, many don't.

Also, yeah I don't think people are less scammy in the real world vs Mturk. I think the shadiness level of a workplace is mostly determined by the owners and management and what shit they let fly. Since there is almost no management on Mturk, it's like the wild west.

Agree with this 100%, but I think the management just falls onto the requester. Like you said, those who figure it out get great results at a great price w/o the overhead of traditional employment.

This is the AWS type push for mTurk and their "slogan" of sorts when recruiting to the platform of late, but tbh I haven't seen many types of work that don't have good examples of implementation on mTurk. Some tasks are just harder to do here than others. Also plenty of requesters muck up the AI/ML stuff because while the built in tools are incredibly powerful they're also hidden under a massive mountain of garbage documentation haha.
