I'm not sure if 1099 and W2 differ (or if you even know what a W2 is being Canadian) but I'm pretty sure that a W2 is going to be money earned but not necessarily paid.

For instance if you're hourly and you work a shift on Dec 31, 2016, you're not going to be paid for that shift (most likely) until the following calendar year. But I'm pretty sure that money would be counted on your W2 for 2016.

Edit - I'm going to stop talking bc I really have no idea and a quick Google search would be much more informative. I type numbers into turbo tax and trust that whatever comes out at the end is correct.

I did one a long time ago and it was accepted. After reading the TO I haven't done any more.

 

Yeah, I definitely can't speak with certainty, so my info should be considered as possibilities and not probabilities.

I actually do both of our taxes every year in both countries, but by the end of it all, it all blends together for me, and I forget most of the tax rules by May anyways. I figure I'll let future me worry about that shit.

 

He rejects and blocks. I wouldn't touch him.

And his 5/5 pays are all people "watching" multiple videos at once, just to hit $7/hr or just really really pleased they got a $2 bonus. Nothing about that is worth risking a block.

Good Morning All! I've got a quick question that maybe someone can answer - I've been out of the loop for about a month. When I log on to work, it is talking about a 'new worker site' that it wants you to 'try out'. It looks like the same worker site as before - worker.mturk.com . I typically go to my dashboard - mturk.com, then go to hits from there. What's up with this? It seems the group was buzzing about it a couple of months ago, but I didn't read enough about it to see what was up with it.

Just be careful w/ always giving the same answer & probably take the extra .5 seconds to select one of his premade feedback options because he's also been known to cull workers in the past, but much less frequently than some of the awful TO requesters like that Mike Turk dude.
