I've gone from seeing dozens of studies per week to maybe 5-10 per week this past month. Maybe that's the joke. Maybe the work dries up and never returns.

 

Nothing is worth boycotting, but if you're consistently applying the values of wanting your employer to respect your humanity.. well, the CEO of Prolific is pretty adamant about you not being worth a shit as a human/worker.

MTurk is a headless chicken, Prolific is actually Uber with all the anti-worker underpinnings that drive the entire business.

Yeah it's weird. I made $230 in 10 days and then only made $20 in the next couple weeks.

 

It's a platform to make money by connecting researchers with workers. Just like mturk. It has it's pluses and minuses just like everything. Some people have good things to say, some bad. Create an account and earn money if you want, or don't. Same as mturk. Why do you question all your jobs? You want to earn money, so go do it and stop complaining.

Literally the same thing, except P has zero oversight or market forces exerting pressure on it not doing this kind of thing surreptitiously.

 

I have principles, duder, and I do my best to abide by them.

I get 3 or 4 a day.....a lot of them require a microphone or camera. I have made a few hundred dollars on there. I keep it open just in case mTurk is slow.

 

Yeah, because TurkPrime is screwing a lot of workers, including me. I work hard and try not to get rejects, keep my numbers up, and TurkPrime has no respect for people like me. I have never used a VPN. According to the statistics MTurk has in place, I'm a great worker. So I really don't get it. I understand your view, that they bring money to the platform.

 

You went away? I thought you were busy with that good job that gave you an awesome bonus. Way to go man, even better if you can work and turk.
