    Definitely. Truth be told, I live in Southeast VA/Eastern NC area where we are used to hurricanes, but many of the biggest WIND damage situations actuallly come from Nor'Easters...now those can be terrifying

    Yeah, we get to watch the slow-moving storm of death head towards us with hourly updates. I would take a hurricane over a tornado though since I'm basically numb to hurricanes. I don't wanna have to adjust to other natural disasters.

    Yeah, the derecho back in 2012 was also terrifying and thunderstorms are getting worse each summer. We had 2 separate tornados in DC last month on the same day. Hadn't had one touch down since 2017 and the last one before that was in 2001.

    Facts. We have had recent tornados in southside VA, too - but thank goodness, they seem to be staying in large, rural areas and not bigger cities like Va Beach or Norfolk. Still, tornados in VA, just odd. Weird to see climate change taking place right in front of your eyes...
