08/13 - Friendship Friday the 13th

It's almost 7pm, in the summer, at the end of a week. Requesters just aren't posting much. On Monday at 10am you might see a requester posting 3 different HITs with 1000 available per hit. At this time of the week/day, you might see a requester post 1 HIT with a handful available. There are thousands of works fighting for these HITs. QBC isn't magic.

 

Everyday I play around with QBC I don't know if I broke it or not
I do what you were doing to check with HF.

The minimum settings is what seems to be breaking my watchers, and it is really weird. I have a watcher for $0.50 min reward, but if I filter by 0.50 it will show the HIT and not catch it, but if I set the minimum reward to filter 0.00 it will catch it.

I think I need to spend some time reconfiguring my QBC settings. Maybe that will help.

Problem is that there are HITs that have plenty available for the specific hourly wage watcher but aren't seeming to be picked up by Queuebicle in the first place as they don't appear at all on my scraper. It's like those HITs don't exist in the first place for them to be possibly be accepted, so playing around with my hourly wage on TurkView Watcher won't help. :/

 

So what are your scrapper filters set at? It will show everything unless CT broke it, unless you specified to ignore it.

Keep in mind the scraper is scraping new HITs that are being posted or returned. Not ones that have been sitting up, already.

 

My scraper is below - both the most recent and most available. I didn't change any scraper settings between last night and this afternoon. For example, I see the Patty Van Cappellen and IOTG Video Computer Vision hits on my web browser, but that aren't showing up on my scraper or being caught on Queuebicle.

 

Somehow I only have three watchers and I can't see how to add the others. I think I broke it. I remember having more...

Alright. I'm not bagging on you and absolving CT. He does introduce bugs, lol. My suggestion is to DM him (he said early that was best communication during this weekend, he must be busy) screen shots of everything, so he can debug/re-produce it. Thanks for no biting my head off for making sure you just wern't shooting yourself in the foot by accident.

 

That's all I EVER run. From what CT has said in the past, there isn't much tax on adding more if you have a reason, but I run 1 yourview at 10/hr min of .10. Same with TV watcher, and then 1 unrated watcher for like .25cents or higher depeneding on workload. In theory that should catch all the automatic stuff you can catch. I then have like 50 requester watchers where they will bypass the automatic watchers and pick it up no matter what because I like the requester. I also have 1 keyword watcher for 'qual'.

 

And all that said, I do NOT catch everything. Internet quality, mturk PREs, luck, etc all still count.

 

Yeah I don't know. Maybe CT will be able to find the issue and give you a couple of extra days on your trial.

I know QBC comes with a bunch of stuff already preprogrammed. I deleted everything in every tab and started fresh.

I have also uninstalled and reinstalled QBC and it was easy to restore my backups. They seem to stay in the directory or are stored somewhere else.

 

Okay but I would like the option to do more and I am not seeing it. Also I am not seeing options above the scraper like that screenshot. I remember seeing this stuff before. So I am wondering if this is broken and I need to reinstall or something.
