wait, why not? I've been using both, i mean honestly panda has done nothing at all so far except tell me it can't find anything anyway, so i'm technically only using MTS

 

If you use two different softwares to create PANDAS, you will get nonstop PREs and everything will basically grind to a halt.

Panda stands for preview and accept. Essentially what either software is doing is sending an accept request to Amazon for a particular HIT, over and over again. Amazon does not like too many requests all at once. If you send too many, they give you page errors. It is best to stick to one only.

 

Well, I thought Panda was used to grab what people post here, but none of these posts can help me do that at all, so I don't really understand its purpose at all now. MTS is good, but almost everyone I see talking about doing Mturk online is using more than just MTS to somehow be more successful, although they don't really say more than that or do not teach it anywhere very well. I'd assume because they don't want other people to get good jobs before them so i've just been trying to figure it all out by searching every secret place on the internet.

I like this one even though it has a bit of a sad undercurrent to it.

 

Panda Crazy is a tool. It will make you money. MTS is a tool. It will make you money. Yes, there are other tools and scripts out there. HIT Forker, QBC, etc...

But I think the reason you might not be getting jobs is likely you are not qualified for them. Notice that every exported review to the forum has a list of qualifications at the bottom. The basics are your HIT approval rate and Total approved HITs. Then there are other inclusion and exclusion quals and also you have to contend with CR Research Group #1 qualification.

You noted you have rejections. Those are going to really hurt you. You need to get your numbers up. Others have given you some good penny HITs, you should grind as many as you can. They pay sucks yes, but it will help you in the long run.

Also note that when you see Catchability at the bottom of the review, that is a good indicator if you can catch the HIT. Last seen one second ago means you should be able to pick it up. Last seen 8 hours ago, don't even bother. Note, that this time is current only when it is posted. It does not update. So if you step away for an hour and start scrolling through the forum to catch up, none of those times may be current. If you are using MTS, you can right click on PANDA and add it to HIT Catcher that way.
