I was in Vegas and the couple next to me bought me wagyu. I dont see what the hype was, it was good and buttery but not worth the price (swear 40 an oz with a 4 oz limit). My sister says they were probably swingers trying to take me home... I also do not understand the hype of cooking your own wagyu (it usually comes hot pot style), I dont really eat out to partake in my own cooking.
@chris wagyu is just a classification used in Japan and very few American places get actual Japan wagyu. Most being in Vegas and NYC. I'd rather have a nice juicy filet or a strip.
