QBC auto manages the pandas to try and make it more effective in catching stuff... if you have too many active pandas it slows down your ability to catch new stuff. QBC will turn a panda off when it sees there aren't any more active hits to catch, but it still monitors the scraper and will try to catch it if the hit becomes active again

If you set the group to none and leave it running, you're more likely to catch the hit when it shows up again.. I do this for the most valuable hits

Edit: this is just how I've come to understand it. I didn't write the program so I may not be exactly right

As for that particular feature, yep

But there is still a question in the air about certain hits not attempting to be pandad despite showing on the scraper

 

I typically just use the none group when I'm working on a batch or trying to catch a qual HIT. Besides that I do TV watchers, unrated watchers and requester watchers and I find I catch a good amount of work that way without having to do anything besides having my watchers set up.

I just don't like doing that because I'll forget to turn it off and I feel like it's bogged down, the same with any other catcher I know. This is why I also don't like to create a panda from the notification center because it automatically sets it to None and I don't know if manually setting it to something else in the Panda Manager will work because I've tried that and it will still keep going like it's still set to None.

 

When you manually add a panda, there is a dropdown box for Group where you can select the group. I always go with TV watcher if I don't want to do None. If you have too many active pandas, QBC will let ya know if you have sound on.. plus it has a PRE % rate in red at the top
