03/02 - Ramen Wednesday!

They F-ed up my 1099K form last year and had the wrong amount of money on it. I need to make sure they didn't do that again before filing my taxes. Easy way to get audited is to report a different amount than what Amazon sends to the IRS.

If you load all your payouts for the year and/or all your deposits in your bank account records, can total them up and use that amount.

I just crunch the numbers and put it on the form. Never got any complaints that way. I mean the IRS knows everything already lol

 

My accountant's office F-d up my W-4 this year. I didn't catch it until I finished inputting all my data into Quickbooks. Unfortunately, my business already filed so we have to do a corrected. Crossing fingers for no audit.

 

I mean that's an issue either way, cus what is correct is the actual income that was put into your account

If you're interested in the qual, here's the info about the full task:


1) We will launch over 4000 HITs exclusively to qualified workers like you. The average time spent on each HIT (the qualification HIT that you did contains 12 HITs in our main task) is estimated to be 3 min (based on our pilot study statistics).
2) You can earn up to $0.9 per HIT. Our base pay per HIT is $0.5. If your HIT passes our validation, you will get an extra $0.2. If 80% of your HITs passes our validation, we pay the $0.2 bonus to all your HITs. We think it should be easy for qualified workers like you to passing our validation more than 80% of the time. Therefore, we estimate the initial hourly pay to be $14/hr, which should become higher when you get faster on the task as you get more used to it.
3) For each HIT, our validator would indicate a preference between your annotation and another worker's. If the validator likes yours better, you will get an extra $0.2 bonus.
4) In addition, our validators will actually be selected from qualified workers like you! We will launch a qualification HIT for our validation task exclusively to a small worker pool. Those who pass the qualification can also work on our validation task, which has the similar hourly pay and bonus!

We sincerely hope you join as an exclusive worker for our task. The expected start date is March 15. The end date depends on the actual daily progress and we expect each worker to spend at least 4 hours per day on our task. But you can let us know your preferred start, end date and your daily availability.

I'm pretty sure that is for people who sell on Amazon (third party sellers, resellers, etc).

Notice how it says sales.. they only send out forms to sellers who reach that threshold

I guess it thinks you are checking on that area and not mturk

Has anyone done that Music v Fashion Data Collection Project in the past? I see that they approval rating is really low but it seemed fairly straight forward.
