This isn't semantic. Almost every script here, in use, sets default values. This isn't even my script that I'm defending. I'm not sure why you've decided to focus one this particular script, instead of A9s or literally any other script that goes through the trouble setting values. Presumably, if you posted scripts, we would all be enlightened as to what you consider acceptable, and could then model our views to the correct ones as held by you.

Until then, go take a flying leap at a math captcha.

 

There is a difference between setting 100 downs which obviously is a complete and correct survey, and circumventing a spam check and defaulting no (which doesn't even work on most A9s) and even defaulting a PI (because here you will lose your qual if you just submit). But I see you're not a person who wants to understand this as discussion and criticism compared to mocking. So I wish you well.

I see your problem. It's the 95 options.

You can absolutely submit a defaulted PI. Sometimes, they're all "Perfect". However, I have never submitted a Joe Lo with 100 "Downs". To call it a complete and correct survey would seem to me you either don't do these HITs and are arguing for the sake of arguing, or you actually do these HITs, and don't understand them.

If the apocalypse happened, there would still be stocks going up. I wouldn't consider all up or all down ever to be valid. It, like PI, saves time from having to click. It's similar to the PRNR "Choose label" that sets 18 initial answers.

Which brings me back to not understanding your particular distaste for this script. The end result of submission is the same as would be by hand; I feel you're insinuating that people who've used it, of which I'm in the class of, are violating Amazon's TOS, which is unwarranted. Setting 1 default or 100 defaults is no different in my book: someone submitting either without doing the work is just as wrong.

 

Yeah, and the circumvention of the spam check, as well as the server wait time? Which I think is far more important than defaulting 100 down that fit within the instructions of the HIT (which never says you cannot select all down). But no I understand the HIT. If you are predicting all individual stocks go down then you are predicting that more likely than not an individual stock will go down. It is correct if you think more likely than not each individual stock goes down.

Anyways, this particular script seems to be brushing right up against the ToS text to me (and btw I surely am one of the most qualified to present a textual analysis of a legal document on this forum). And like I said, you're free to use it however you want, but be aware of the rules.

 

Since I'm an inappropriate person in general, when I was finally off a ventilator after a week of my lungs deciding to take a vacay on me years ago, I immediately started mumbling "I'm not quite dead yet!" all hoarse sounding and crap. This immediately made the staff who knew me laugh but was rather morbid to everyone else at the time.
