I grew up without it, with a huge antenna on the roof we controlled with a box on top of the telly. Then I didn't have it as an adult as I was never home enough to need it. Then in my early 30s I needed high speed internet for work and television came like for $10 and I was all .

I've basically had cable telly or satellite since then. Kiddo used to watch a lot of kid shows on it when he was little so it was totally worth it with the DVR. This was before Roku and streaming channels were big so...that was the best option for this single mama!
