To be fair, my internet was pretty trash not too long ago. Another provider moved into the area and my internet speed improved overnight

I recently called to ask about outages in my area, and they bumped up my speed again. I'm pretty sure they just give you the lowest speed possible if there are no competitors in your area. If you don't live in a really remote area, I think it would be worth it to call and see if they can "fix" your internet issues.

I live in a suburb outside of a decent sized city but Spectrum is pretty much the only provider around here so they charge a ridiculous amount for cable and internet. I've tried to get my bill lowered before and it gets me nowhere. I am all for giving up cable but the bf loves it too much so we suck it up and pay for it.

Thank you for posting this. I clicked on the PANDA button on your post and it accepted the hit. I haven't been able to see the hit on mturk, yet for some reason clicking on your link worked? Why would it not be visible on mturk to me? The very first day the hit posted, I could see it for less than a minute and was unable to catch it and then it disappeared. So bizarre.

 

my only choice is spectrum the other is att and i had them before twice and i had daily outages with them for years during peak times

there was the fcc program for free internet if you qualified but i'm not sure if its over https://www.fcc.gov/acp
