    Prolific vs MTurk

    About 3 weeks ago I was approved to do surveys on Prolific. I am finding their surveys to be better paying for short timeframes as well as more professional. There is no crap that I have run into and no bad requesters. It is quite a bit different than MTurk.

    I do not have CR 1 or Masters on MTurk and I find I can often make more on Prolific in a day than I can on MTurk. I am usually running both MTurk and Prolific at the same time and bounce back and forth as good jobs appear on either. My income for time spent has at least doubled from when I was running MTurk alone. I am not an MTurk power user but I do use MTurk Suite.

    Prolific does require you to prove you are real by submitting government documents, they require your real address and there are a bunch of profiling questions you need to answer once approved to start getting good targeted jobs but once you are on board you are fed surveys that match your profile. I have only had one unpaid screener since I started. Another is that Prolific tries to guarantee a minimum hourly and often if you are underpaid based on average completion time, the requester is required to give you a bonus to make up for that time. I have had this occur a few times.

    For those without CR 1 or Masters I suggest you have a look as well as anyone else. Its a good way to have your work time be more profitable.
