I've always gone with the display model or open box route, makes the choices much easier plus saves $

I just emailed as well. I guess I'll leave them there. So strange to only give 5 min for a 4:59 second task. Lol

I hope this is ok - I just posted this in my Requester forum but thought I should also post here - if not appropriate I am sure I will learn

I have just finished the first step of the approval process and approved 1,551 of the initial batch of 2,063. The mTurk console is chewing through my file right now and should notify you soon. I also approved the $0.10 bonus on 773 of these 1,551 but I am still a little fuzzy on how to do this in a batch made through the console so you may not see the bonus until I can sort that out and I have to stop work for the day.

I want to note that I have only rejected one so far. I need to look at the remaining a little more carefully to decide to approve or reject. So if you have some outstanding do not imagine that they have been rejected - some I know I will approve but I need to sort out the approval process so I can do it systematically and recover what I need from the files. Some of them will help me enhance my instructions but unfortunately some are just going to be rejects. My guess right now is that about 25% of the remaining 500 or so will be rejected. The ones I will not reject will be because I think you tried to get it right but my instructions did not anticipate those cases.

I will note that I did segregate the cases where you indicated that the content I was looking for was not in the file (those are in the remaining ones). If you are correct you will get the base pay plus the $0.50 bonus I noted yesterday.

I hope to have the rest of this done before Monday afternoon but I gotta spend some time with my favorite son.

    Thanks for your patience.

There's a habitat for humanity thrift store next to me where they have so many new to almost new appliances for cheap as fuck. Like 2 thousand dollar fridges for like 200 bucks. They also have cheap ass windows and doors and stuff like that. Shit's sweet.

Nice! I always try to go that route with certain stuff but out here in Cali mofos camp at those type of places to buy for resale so almost 0% chance of getting anything good.

For smaller stuff that you can buy from amazon the amazon warehouse 'used' stuff are a great way to save money.

I don't think that you will find many appliances that way though

I wouldn't get stuff like that off amazon or any site, I want to see it and touch it and rub it and love it in person

Also as a Building Contractor I was a reclaimed building materials whore...I would hit those places up every weekend and grab w/e I needed or thought I might need on a house someday. Most of my work was in San Francisco so finding original stuff for 100+ year old Victorian remodels was awesome.

Don't panic on the non-approval some are clear rejects but many are not. I am trying to be respectful of your knowledge and the complexity of the task.

Yes, I have about 18K more of these and then about 20K of something similar

Yeah this place is heaven for those people. Every time I go in there, I wish I was remodeling a house or something. So many solid oak midcentury cabinets from teardowns and all sorts of beautiful antique furniture. And they have so many lighting fixtures 'n shit - that shit's expensive as fuck to buy new.
