    The EU has changed their tax laws to require platforms to report income earned on them. It looks like their version of the new IRS $600 dollar 1099 reporting for payment platforms. It's meant to makes sure that self-employed/gig workers income is recorded.

    It probably doesn't apply to most people here unless you're a citizen of an EU country and most people will probably be okay after answering the first question that pops up since it also doesn't apply to most people here.

    You're probably fine just answering the first question. Personally, I'm taking a "wait and see" approach since we all know that Amazon is more geographically challenged than a first gen GPS and we have until the end of February to get an answer from them. It also seems that a lot of people have written them so they might actually answer. . . maybe.
