Nornally Id rat out folks for doing the dick measuring thing but in this case the req has already been scammed for legit thousands of $$$ and I'm not trying to get them inundated with emails.

And you ought to know there is no such thing as a truly closed qual on mturk lol.

 

I figured the email swamping was probably the biggest factor.

That's understandable but then it wouldn't be a hidden closed qual. I can look at wikitors all day but even if I know about them I still can't ever do them. The people with the qual are still protected. I'm pretty sure they just ignore emails at this point. Without the qual you can't even see the particular hits with the setting requesters can use now

well, the account is ran by 3-4 people, I know ive spoken with 3 different ones, and they have ...2 quals I think? One you had to get by* already having the other and was a quality thing. it'd be pretty hard to get the qual even if someone did contact them because like you said they have been scammed for thousands, and know it. Ive talked to them about it. Hell I was the person who ratted another one out for scamming them and he ended up with 350 rejections plus a block* so I know firsthand. I like your reasoning none the less.

I don't even have my own advice I just parrot other people's advice and pretend it was mine.

 

Also the fact that the longer that people keep quiet about a hidden closed qual being back the more likely that some people that have it won't realize that it is back.

Although if this work is as fire as it sounds I'm not sure how much that part matters.

 

i hate the whole "secret club hehehehe" too, but it's kind of funny how people brag all day long about their secret billions of dollars and get worshipped, but a few quiet people rejoice about it late at night and we're jerks, lol

Most (maybe all?) requesters have been scammed for some amount. Thousands though, only one requester comes to my mind

Most requesters actually check their email regularly, unless you were talking specifically about sergey, then yes

 

This makes more sense especially if its been given out to enough people. A handful of people not knowing about it who would otherwise ham them would put a dent into the batch.

 

No clue who it is but these posts served as a good reminder that I needed to add a bunch into OW just in case those accounts ever start posting again.

I am guilty of using weaponized batches when I have a qual that is being overlooked. All of the stuff I do that with are at least decent but sometimes that isn't the best thing that is up lol.

search by the requester ID. They could come back with a new name on the same account.

 

You never know what's going to show up.

 

What if they keep the same name but get a new requester ID ala sergey?

 

Put searches in for both? lol
