QBC isn't really any different from MTS other than a few additional features. The main functionality is essentially the same

Also regarding all this, I agree with a point made previously that its most likely Amazon doesn't care or pay any attention to MTurk really - including this error issue. They've never given any indication they pay any attention to this platform even when it was working properly. Reporting scam requesters did nothing, impossible to get any assistance with issues, etc

 

Idk it seemed fundamentally different to me. It's requesting many unique hit ID's, very rapidly. That could be triggering mturks security measures against automation tools, which it definitely uses.

 

MTS is also doing that though, if you're using the catcher

 

I request only 3 unique hit ID's, or pandas, at once. I imagine QBC is magnitudes more than that.

 

Not really.. its all user defined, same with MTS. It entirely depends on how you use it. QBC is designed to repeatedly warn you if you have too many pandas active. If you leave it to do its own thing, it will never have that many active at once

I've always been under the impression that automation tools are against the rules only if they are like actual bot programs automating the entire process of working hits

 

Okay, so it actually shows the pandas that are running?

 

yeah it shows them all, has options to disable/enable and it has visual & audio warnings if you have too many active or your PREs are too high

 

In essence QBC just runs a scraper. It then parses the scraper for what watcher info you have setup. It will then create a panda if anything meets that criteria. Almost for certain the in between does not touch mturk at all just the data you get during the scrape until the panda is created.
