On a similar but different note, if y'all've never read When Breath Becomes Air (2016) by Paul Kalanithi, you should.

    Just. Wow.

Yay I'm going "camping"!!!!!! Not really ....PG&E is here and they found a small leak out by the meters and "we need to repair this but do not have parts and the gas will be off until we get the parts we have to order"

So a gas company as fkn big as they are does not have a stock of parts for the shit THEY installed and need to service and maintain :emoji_thinking::emoji_rolling_eyes: So no cooking or hot showers till Monday at the earliest most likely

Not to detract from the book, but can book reviews be any less useful? 95% of them are a thesaurus roulette wheel -,-

i'm of the belief that everyone is stanley until proven otherwise. there's no way he didn't assume another personality and isn't still posting. he's way too vain to not demand attention 24/7 for being so super awesome.

You say that but the more people that are aware of that thread the better. For just in case they need it.

OCMP5 is number one by far but I got the qual in 2014 and they were better back then. I could go ham from the beginning of the batch to the end and I didn't have to waste time looking up weird industrial/automotive stuff.
Sergey takes both the 2nd and 7th spots
Barcodes are 3, maybe they would be higher if they didn't post such random times and usually while I am asleep.
    Zoltar is 5
Pi is 6 ...when is the last time they posted? I haven't seen them in ages.
Set master is 11 - pennies add up.
    Nobody really shocking

    So because you said thesaurus

I worked as a tutor in the writing center of my university sophomore-senior year, and my all time favourite experience ever was when this one freshmen came in with a paper and it was the most ridiculous of thesauritus I've ever seen. Literally every third word was swapped out for the biggest million-dollar word he could find, and 90% of the time the word didn't fit at all. Better yet, it was clear that he had no idea what the word meant. For the first three paragraphs I had to stop him and ask (I had them read the papers out loud) if he knew what he'd just said, as he clearly didn't, and then he proceeded to right click in word and find a different word using the thesaurus feature.

This action received the appropriate level of scolding.

Long story short, I finally gave up after the 37th word and told him that before I could go over the paper any more with him, he needed to go over the paper himself and come back when he actually understood what he wrote :p
