Could be. My Prolific theory is if you do some of their underpaid <.50-1.00 surveys you get put in an active user category and start seeing higher paying surveys. That has been my experience at least.

Seriously though, I've only made .89p on Prolific today. That is so unusual for me. I usually make at least 10 pounds. It's like they know I'm making money on Mturk.

 

I got this one and somehow qualified for the bonus but I'm not sure I'll get it given the work involved. Sometimes good reading comprehension is a drawback.
