Been thinking about it, kinda hoping to see more feedback from people using it before I take the plunge. I guess I'm kinda old-school - the idea of paying at all kind of horrifies me (even though I see the good results here from people who do so)

although if there were a QBC/Guru for Prolific, ngl I would pay for that immediately, but I get the impression Prolific's set themselves up specifically so people can't do that (which is a shame)

 

is this as potentially awful as it sounds? anyone know?

There is a 7 day trial with Guru. You could at least earn more for 7 days and then get rid of it before you have to pay.

 

the ones with very little to cover are easy peasy. like with just walls/flooring.. maybe a table. I find them pretty easy but do throw back a lot of the more difficult ones.

 

I love how they say if you're ID verified on Connect, you'll be shown more projects. I've only made $5.09 with them today. If you're making that being unverified, I wouldn't even give my personal information to them.

 

I've still got $50 to do on prolific to see the teacup. Why the hell am I doing .30 batchwork?

pfft, I'm unverified and have made more than that with them today (though in fairness I don't make anything on Connect most days. the random $9+ surveys on some days are still worthwhile imo)
really needing websites to find some other means of verification - like I'd rather take a picture of my ID and physically mail it in, as antique as I know that sounds, than to have copies of my ID potentially just on the internet no thank you please

 

Connect needs to show better *paying* projects, not just more piles of trash. I swear, the only projects I do on Connect these days are just the Jury duty ones. Everything else has appalling hourly rates.

 

You must be like the PERFECT demographic for Prolific. That's good money.

 

I get enough stuff like the 10-pound Twitter surveys and easy multi-day projects that it's worth keeping around for me - but yeah I love the Jury duty ones, I write *paragraphs* about why I made the decisions I did

I started it right before the pandemic and am in my mid-40's. I think I probably just have longer relationships with some of the requestors maybe.
