I know we're not supposed to discuss but in case anyone here is a mom and would appreciate this -- trigger warning that the jury study involves distressing things about babies and childbirth.

 

I'm actually glad I wasn't able to do it then. Due to complications during birth, my daughter passed away at 11 days old in September and I'm fairly certain that would have been torture.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't imagine how horrible that must have been for you. Having my first pregnancy end in an early first trimester miscarriage was painful enough that I don't think I could have bore anything more than that. I hope your family is processing your grief in a healthy way!

But this is exactly why I wanted to share, to hopefully spare someone the pain of reliving something like that. I know they don't want to taint the respondent pool, but some trigger warnings are necessary.

Pros:
My time is way off because I had to take a lot of breaks so pay is probably at least a little better than it says for me.

Cons:
I thought this would be interesting and while it kind of was, it was also extremely long. Exhausting. Frustrating. Lots of writing. My brain feels like mush and I'm in a bad mood now. I'm just praying the second part will be worth it but $15 for 2 hours is still pretty sad, especially when those 2 hours are going to piss you off.

I really wish I'd done that but by the time I realized how terrible it was going to be I thought I was too deep and afraid of wasting my time and money. *sits in corner with dunce cap*
