Just did my first survey that used that newfangled Sentry on Connect. It wasn't too bad, maybe a bit confusing. It definitely adds a bit of time though.

 

Haven't seen this yet. What did you have to do?

 

5 multiple choice questions, and a single one sentence writing prompt. All on different pages.

It's a new screening system to weed out both bots and inattentive individuals. You may get a survey that sends you to Sentry, and that either passes or fails you to the survey you wanted to take. CR has a 20ish minute presentation on their website, somewhat interesting what they're trying to do but not sure if it's going to be effective in the long run.

 

does it help the workers any or pay good?

also when you said i may get it in a survey so i assume you mean its random? i couldn't just find it or search or something?

Effective for what?
More baffle 'em with bullshit nonsense to throw paranoia at requesters. Even when CloudResearch admits they were wrong about stuff like bots (by claiming it wasn't bots but "low quality workers from India") they still bring it up to throw a shade on people like us, to falsely make requesters think they have the solutions to "quality data". Kudos to all the requesters who called bullshit.

They will effectively find new ways to insult our integrity.

 

Nothing CloudResearch does is "to help the workers".
