I was just wondering about the 'required' property on inputs. Is that something we can normally screw with? I've never seen it changed before. That would be quite helpful since requesters are constantly screwing up their code.

Yes, you can always mess with it. Make sure you follow any pre-validation they do inside the HIT though as there is always a chance you eat rejections off causing behavior a requester may not be expecting.

It is exceptionally rare for a requester to do server-sided validation, Joe Lo is probably the most predominant prominent example of a req who does SS validation - but it does happen so you should always be cognizant of what else is going on in the HIT and have a good grasp on it all if you're going to circumvent "mistakes"

If there is a mistake on the front end validation, God only knows whats going on in the back end ^_^

Thanks man, that is the niftiest little tidbit of code I've seen for MTURK in quite a while.

I picked it up from @Kadauchi (if memory serves one of his scripts had href*=, which is basically a wildcard match instead of the begin-line regex, but pointed out that things like that could be used) - its always worth it to scroll through things he writes from time to time. He maintains exceptionally clean and readable code. Its a notch above google-fu examples, especially since it is filled with mTurk relevant content, and he tends to purposefully eschew the harder to read/understand "tricks" in JS so that other people can actually learn from his stuff which can't be praised enough.

Idk what he does/doesn't post to his git, but I usually unpack MTS every once in a while and peruse.

    http://crxextractor.com/

That's nothing compared to some of the things I did when I first started :) I have the entirety of MTG archived on a drive here at home so I could search through it and data mine lol. Learned a lot, and built one hell of a watch list even if 70% of them have never been seen since I started Turking.

I left KY in 2000. I don't know if that restaurant was open when I was there, but I think that any Hot Brown is a good one. Dang, cravings and nostalgia now.
