08/29 - Trying again Thursday

The Add account button is 'greyed out'. I tried to add it back in.

Next, I tried to send them an email from their support page, but when I clicked on the submit button:

And now, when I click the support page link in the suspension message (https://payments.amazon.com/sdui/sdui/contactussend), getting the above message there too:

I would call them and tell them your account has been hacked. Maybe we are taking the wrong approach, since we are used to MTurk banning people with no explanation. Something else is going on here. Your bank info being removed is a red flag.

 

Got suspended too, 700k hits with a 99.9% approval rating over about 8 years of work. Didn't do anything different than what I normally do... hopefully this isn't permanent.

 

not really if they removed our payments account. On reddit it says that people are still being paid. While my "payments account" has been suspended, it is still working on transferring my balance today...

 

I was supposed to get paid today and I don't have any message for it and my balance is zeroed.

 

I don't recall ever filling out a payment account. I'm pretty sure I added my bank info on the MTurk interface. Who knows, maybe a hacker tried getting all our money sent to them.

 

My balance was there at 5am and it left sometime between that and 9 like usual. Sometimes I don't get either email until later in the day but I had multiple people on reddit tell me that they have been paid on regular schedule while still being suspended. I hope so because it's the end of the month and I desperately need that $.

 

Same. Which is why it so strange that I can't work because my Amazon payments account is suspended. Because I don't think I've ever even done anything with an Amazon payments account and I don't think it is actually connected to us getting paid from mTurk.

 

I really think this is a hack, and it automatically shuts down the accounts when it detects mischief. Amazon has made no announcement about changes in our payment accounts that I'm aware of.

 

I've been suspended since Thursday and had two payments go through with no issues since.

 

What I dont get is why the suspensions happened at different times. Like what was the criteria exactly, if indeed it was a hack...even the response is slow; in waves? Mturk is really bad for being an Amazon divsion tbh.

 

I had to email Kmart customer service on Monday to fix something (I am not joking). They responded early Tuesday morning and resolved my issue completely. In 2024, Kmart customer service > AWS customer service.

 

That's good to hear, but for how long?

I'm looking around trying to find a good news place to call and report this to, maybe if they investigate Amazon will get off their asses.

 

does anyone know how to solve this? the first hit in my queue out of the 25 hits in there. when I go to it manually, or when I go to a different one in my queue and submit it so then the webpage tries to automatically load that same first hit in my queue. then it flashes on the page, then goes to my queue. so I can't do the first hit in my queue. and it keeps doing this every time I finish a different hit in my queue.

is there a way to fix this?

 

Reboot and try again.
