09/02 - De-stressing Monday

I just got back home and I'm unsuspended as well. May have happened up to 3 hours ago. Did a PickFu to make sure and it submitted like regular.

Hopefully everyone gets back in today.

Edit - Also, just changed my status in today's poll.

 

Uh, on the MTurk Status website, it said everything is all resolved now. My account is still suspended, and I'm sure others as well. Are they still working on reversion the suspensions?

If you care to have it back, he's usually pretty responsive if you message him. I've been banned before too.

 

That health status has never been even a little reliable. It's great that it said something this time, but many times it's said absolutely nothing while a problem is going on. I wouldn't assume they've completely finished with the restoration of accounts. I'd be more concerned if you reach the end of Tuesday without it coming back.

 

Don't worry, if we don't ALL get our accounts back, I'll go nuts again.

 

Well, AMT has marked that the service is fixed on the service health dashboard.

[2024-09-02 16:27 PM] We have resolved the issue that prevented some workers from accessing the worker UI. The service is now operating normally.

 

My account has been unsuspended. I was able to submit an $.18 PickFu.

If you look at that page in full, you'll see that they've changed the colors on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 to green despite them being yellow previously. It's truly not an accurate depiction of things. It's great that the site is there because it can give some indication at times of issues, but it's not something to go by because of things just like this. Checking that now, someone away for the last day or two might check and have no idea there was even all this drama the last couple of days.

 

I noticed the color change on days past too. Super shifty Amazon.

I noticed that too. Super shady to let some people back on and but not everyone and act like everything is fine with the site.

 

So basically they considered it resolved when roughly 50% (based on the poll above) are still suspended vs. reversed. Amazon logic

 

did you email mturk and tell them you can't turk because your payments account is suspended? I originally filled out the forms for turkopticon and amazon payments, then amazon payments again. I don't think I filled out the Mturk form until this morning, maybe 9:30 AM MST. I haven't heard back from mturk yet by email. idk if that's why some of us still can't turk.

edit: actually it's been days since I first turned in the email form on the amazon payments website. and I haven't heard anything back from them either.

 

Yes, I emailed MTurk, Amazon Payments, and filled out the TO form. I got no reply back from MTurk or Payments from the 5 emails I sent... ignored.

 

This could be good news if no more accounts will be suspended. But they still have work to do. I hope they realize it.

 

I just DM'd them (AWS Support) on Twitter. Got a canned response.
