I just did a hit that had surveymonkey embeded in it but it has nowhere to enter code or actually submit the hit. Does anybody know in the html any hidden button to submit?

 

If you want to risk it, you can force submit the HIT:

1. On the page with the HIT, press Ctrl + Shift + J if you're on Windows, or Cmd + Option + J if you're on Mac. That will open Chrome console.
2. Now paste this (copy and paste all three lines together at the same time) and press Enter:

If Chrome says you need to be careful and can't paste into Console, then just follow the instructions it gives you (you'll need to write "allow pasting" or something like that), and then after that you can again paste those lines and press Enter.

That will probably submit the HIT. Not entirely sure if it's actually gonna work (if the CORS policy is set up to allow this or not), but you can at least try if you want.

But you need to have it installed and enabled before you open the HIT, though, so it's not gonna help you in this case. Also, I'm not sure it still works either, but it probably should.

 

I tried that as well but it didn't work. I think the requester just had an empty hit with an embeded survey, I tried several ways to submit and failed. Hopefully the requester responds or he just got a buttload of free work.

You're lucky!! I've never gotten a bonus that paid that... I am hopeful one day. From what I have read up on, when get to 1,000 or more, you get better choices for HITs. Maybe that is true... I am barely over 800 right now.

 

This HIT had a 5 minute timer and expired while I was on a wild goose chase for the info they wanted as a completion code

hi guise just stopping by to say I got a new qual just now. it was from sampling a batch. I did like 5 or 10 in a batch. then I noticed all of a sudden I had a new qual from that requester and could do more of the same hits.

batch sampling has been the way I have gotten most or all my quals this year. not necessarily the best way due to rejections risk, but it's what I've had time for this year.

 

I got it too. I have gotten several amazing new quals lately this way!!!! One which has become my bread and butter lately.

Does blocking bad HITs do any good?? I am trying to weed out the bad from the good to see if that may help.

 

Using MTS, yes and no. Blocking a HIT only blocks that specific ID. If the requester puts the same HIT with a different ID, it won't be blocked. You can also try Blocking by Title or by Requester if that becomes an issue. Keep in mind that this is basically a filter so you don't see them anymore. There are no actual blocks for us. If you use HIT Finder within MTS, it should also prevent it from showing up in the scraped list.

 

Thanks so much!! I am trying to find a way to improve my odds. This week I have only been able to get 4 HITs which is a bad week.

 

this was on cloud research's connect platform. most of the mturk survey requestors have migrated there or prolific.

 

Again, it will only filter it from your view.

You should also add requesters to your favorites as well if you have not done so. If you use HIT Finder, it will highlight your favorites in green. From HIT Finder, you can also populate a panda to HIT Catcher to hopefully catch it. Just be mindful that if you run any other panda programs, like PC Max, you'll run into PREs. You should only run one panda program at a time.
