I started late today but have already made $70. need to keep powering forward though because there are bills other than rent. Prolific is one of those things though kinda like a master's on mturk, you have to work to get them. many of those less than a dollar things are screeners or lead to better paying followups. My first ten today were two followups that probably took 5 minutes all together. I've been working on the 20/hr since and after that hoping the 18/hr are left. just trying to grind because staying in a corner by myself grieving isn't a healthy option. I've closed mturk out completely unless I take a longer break like right now.

 

personally between the throttling and getting into stuff in general what I like to do with prolific is just straight up ignore the site most of the time other than followups and then just have one day every week and a half or so after my throttling wears off entirely where there's just nonstop stuff on there

would doing things differently generate more money from the site overall? honestly I have no idea I havent exactly experimented with it much, but it's certainly the least painful way of doing things

 

I mean, I haven't seen any tea cup in soooo many months. I've been on it for 5 years though and built up a reputation. I would think to make decent money on any site you need to build up a reputation.

 

turns out I've been so busy with irl things today I haven't had much time to turk anyway. maybe I can do a mindless batch on mturk after I instacart the groceries.

Has anyone gotten a response from TrialByData on Connect before?

 

End of the day and I got into a few Prolific studies to brighten my outlook on it. Mturk is nothing but pickfu for me it seems.

 

I ended up not having time to turk for most of the day. I really need to fix this problem.
