    It likely is an algorithm that gives new gifs a better chance of showing up but if some shit suddenly becomes popular it will show up as well.

    Yeah, I already had one of those vintage doggos favorited, and the link for it in the new/trending shows up as already favorited. So, at least some them are old ones cycling through.

    This is the hardest I've thought about anything in hours.

    Time to leave job #1 for job #2 and then home to sleep forever.
