Whenever they do double batches like this it usually ends up being pretty big.

PREs just too much for me to be able to do these CIs. I'm only getting $3.79 an hour on those at the moment.

edit: I don't remember if it was more specific than 5 years, but I don't think it was.

The plan is for me to get a new laptop after I turk enough to pay off the two vacations we're taking this year (Cruise in Oct, and seeing my dad in prime solar eclipse location in August). Husband is getting ready to replace his as well, but his parents are willing to help with that one.

I have trouble mentally justifying spending $200 for a chromebook just to turn around and drop another $2000 on another laptop in the fall. But that could just be a me thing, I have trouble spending money on myself, even if it's for the betterment of my life in some way.

Do you actually plan on moving the laptop around? $2000 is an awful lot to spend on a laptop.

Personally I'm more of a fan of a cheap chromebook or laptop + a desktop.

Oh wow, they've change it again. Here's what the most recent one says:

    Requirements:
    • Proficient in written English language skill
    • Residing in USA
    • Computer less than 3 years old with a sound card and speakers
    • A secured high-speed Internet connection
    • Internet savvy and able to perform effective searches
    • Basic aptitude for installing applications, and troubleshooting and addressing software issues with limited support.

Whovians might appreciate this. I was listening to a band a friend had mentioned and realized this song is about the Doctor Who episode of the same name. There's even hints of the Who theme at the end.

Unless you want to game in your office with the door locked, then spending 1200 on a 17 inch laptop with a GTX 1060 is worth it. :emoji_stuck_out_tongue:

2000 is still too much though.

I spent $2500 on my mobile workstation 5 or 6 years ago and it's still better than a majority of the popular PCs and laptops in the stores.

But... I needed it for architecture stuff at the time.

You didn't want to just VPN into a workstation? $2500 could have gotten you a beefy setup.
