It took them like two weeks just to track down the abstract. Then as we got down to closing we had to deal with Thanksgiving where everyone and their dog apparently took the whole week off. We ended up having to close move and clean the apartment in a two day span.

 

That is literally crazy. Who wants to live without internet these days??

House hunting is a massive chore, I feel you. Last time we were getting frustrated and dropped offers on like 3 houses just to see who would bite lol, getting so frustrated, that worked int he end thankfully.

Best of luck. Our first experience was terrible, too. The sellers got stuck in Costa Rica due to blizzards up here, so our closing was delayed a week, after we had perfectly coordinated moving in, moving out, taking a week off of work, canceling/starting utilities... yeah. It's super fun.

 

I've got an acquaintance who just bought a house in Washington STATE from here in SC, sight unseen, only off the Zillow pics.

I don't even understand why that's possible, I feel like it shouldn't be, but I'm giddy with anticipation for their cross-country trip & realization that all the photos are heavily photoshopped and even then the house still looks** questionable.

Nice couple.. but I just don't see how that turns out as well as actually spending the $500 on airfare to go look at the place at least once. Even if it goes alright.. just.. *shudder*

I could see that sort of thing happening on 2nd or 3rd homes but even at that point you would send someone you know to go check it out.

2) No. That means do not actively fun HF on www. You don't have to actively run HF at all on worker either.

1000ms is fine, the default is at 1500 because it is.

HFB delay only matters if you click find and that button is green (running).
