    It is a weeb site. Cropping out all the stuff that is 2lewd4TH would be a lot of effort but it isn't sketchy. You won't ever get a virus from it ect and facebook uses software that some of the devs for the website work on.

    This has been stated before, but since we're on the topic of light/dark/eyes hurting, etc. Check out programs like f.lux that help make it easier on your eyes. A lot of people new to f.lux don't like the orange hue, but you don't notice it after a while and it really does help (after you get used to f.lux, turn it off temporarily to see what I mean).

    Also, I use PangoBright to reduce my screen's brightness, instead of having to navigate through my 3 monitors' menus to change the brightness.

    I'm sure others have better methods/software/whatever, but that's what I use.

    And yeah, they are generally easier on the eyes if you're going to be staring at it for a long time, but light themes are easier to make things pop out so you can read them at a glance and be done. Pretty much all of the most popular websites (Wikipedia, Google, Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo, Reddit, Twitter, Amazon, etc.) default to light themes so we tend to associate light themes with trustworthiness/SFW (at least on a subconscious level), whereas the most famous dark theme is probably THE WRONG HUB's (so many subconsciously associate dark themes with not SFW, again regardless of actual content). :dunno:
