A ton of new users though, that's cool. That bounce rate is so bad though. MTS is high on pages but that duration is meh.

 

To each their own. I prefer to remember one very long pass phrase that I change regularly than have to remember a bunch of different passwords. I like just being able to have my passwords for sites being a jumble of random characters.

 

You should take that no follow of of MTS though >.>

Yeh the % of new users is actually fantastic.. and I don't mean anything bad about them/HN by any means because ultimately its on me to keep those people here (if that was my goal.. I mostly just think its cool to look at the stats lol).

My best guess is they come to see if there's any discussion on a posted HIT since you don't scrape comments and then if no comment/note is found they just leave. Otherwise I have no clue b/c they can accept the HIT from HN.. Misclicks too maybe lol.

I think the general flow of mturk traffic is reddit -> HN -> forums ('cause really forums are such an antiquated version of social media online at this point)..

That data is also only from this week, I know at some point someone mentioned TH on reddit in like a tiny post and it generated a massive amount of traffic off basically nothing.

I'm pretty sure its done automatically by XenForo.. not realy sure if/where the option even is to remove it, hmm..

 

I guess it wouldn't matter much now but from what I learned in my previous "field" was that if its not in your head it may as well be everybodys and that kind of stuck with me.

If your previous field is similar to the field I'm in that thought process has changed for the most part. Using a password manager I can have a unique randomly generated password for every site I register. Then if/when a site I have an account on is compromised by attackers I only need to worry about changing a single password.
