11/21 - Mystical Monday!

I am at my office with no phones working and nothing to do and really wish I could find some good patches to kill the time

 

I have to go organize the metadata for 200GB of FLAC weeeeeeeeeeeee (well it is partly organized already but I need to go back and recheck it all for updates ect.)

 

Same. I just don't want to do it today...Probably a bad attitude, but

 

I can't explain it but there seems to be this really really slow shift with Amazon/Mturk and how things are being handled, the time frames, the whole 'here's a new platform', the day a ton of HITS were listed as Amazon requesters, the complaints from multiple people that they can't sign up to be mturk workers and have unexplained application rejections... I can't explain it but I feel like they're up to something. And it can't be good when we go from having lighting fast transfers to ones that take days and now the transfer to amazon payments and the time payments takes to transfer to bank. I'm gonna have to say the only changes are in Amazon, my bank is still the same bank so I'm pretty sure they didn't suddenly decide "lets take 5 days to accept this transfer".

I think I read somewhere that they slowed the Turk to Payments down because it saves them some money somewhere. Bank transfers have been the same for me though, as long as I get it started by 6PM EST weekdays, it almost always shows up the next day.

I guess I was last to get the memo that Grind was going under.

 

Anyone else here do the maria Sukhareva Identify opinions in reviews? The TO main complaint is that she doesn't pay quickly enough (takes the full 15 day AA). Seems like fair pay, but the number isn't going down. Just wondering if I'm missing something that may have happened with her in the past and isn't in TO.

 

Maybe the bank part is my bank.. but they swear it's not. It used to transfer over to my bank within 2 hours and now I wait anywhere from one to three days, but transaction is never posted on same day like it used to be. It's not the end of the world but Amazon Mturk doesn't really need to save money, and especially when most of the work is underpaid or just barely reaching minimum wave. Not surprising though, it's just the big corporate way these days.

I came here for the same reason...it seems odd.

 

Checked em out and both my browsers gave me the big nope about loading them so it may just be that a bunch of people can't access them too. Or the hit will sell your soul to the turk devil.50/50 chance.
