I think he didn't even mean to run away, but he went out the window and the dogs chased after him which must have spooked him senseless. I've seen him barreling around the neighborhood a few times since but don't think he even realizes it's me. Things I saw last night: Armadillos, Racoons, a skunk, a few dozen feral cats, and the neighborhood dog whose owners don't fence him in chasing the feral cats. I think the little guy is just too freaked out to function right now. He's not exactly what you'd call and outdoor lover. He won't even bolt out an open door without immediately turning back around, so I'm guessing he just panicked real bad when he hopped out the window.

I have half the town on orders to tell me if they spot him and grab him if he wanders up to them. Eventually, he's gonna get hungry and lonely and figure out where the nice hairless cats are with the tasty stuff.

Unless it's all part of Bearnie's elaborate plans to avoid his snip snip and he casually wanders in 10 minutes after we would have left.

I've read on all the lost pets forums that if you put a cat's litter box out front that it might draw them back home.

I actually have an open container of used litter out cause hopefully he will smell himself! I'm not sure he realizes where he lives since he doesn't ever leave the house. I have some of his food and water and a carpet square he likes on the porch, gonna go full catnip later.

He'll come here eventually, he has a cushy life indoors, but I'm worried he won't come home before we are supposed to move. I have a few plans, the only perk of living in such a small area is that almost everyone knows Bearnie is lost now. He has his blue collar and very obviously looks like a cat with a home. I'm just panicked about him having an asthma attack or something.
