What I remember was it earlier this week printed the number (in blue I think) above the "scale."

Just printing the number, even if it isn't the default is useful info instead making me remember it (exactly) from the hourly dashboard page.

I'm certainly not disagreeing that we want accurate data, and the hourly stuff has a lot of issues shall we say. In fact I posted something about those issues right after this went live.

But when it's right, why make me work harder?

 

If the title of the HIT ends in (~ # minutes) you can bet its TurkPrime or one of its two offshoots.

What you're referencing isn't an "always" but it is a selling point of TP, they offer to help Requester's dodge the increased mTurk fees by spam-posting (I'm sorry, they call it "Micro-Batching" or some shit) the HITs instead of posting one big slew of them. So its not a guarantee, but it is a high probability that they repost in short spurts in batches of 9 or less.

In large batches, these are great money (but large batches are nearly extinct these days). Still, very generous pay for the work.
Cons: One mistake can get you locked out of a batch.
Glitches can cause you to get locked out of batches sometimes, as well.

What are the two offshoots?

Once in a blue moon I mention Turkprime to someone who uses blocks to prevent retakes. It seems to be the "standard" (or at least at critical mass), but is there something better?

Still does so long as the data is transmitted from mTurk to TV, so if it didn't for you it probably bugged out for some yet determined reason.. In which case the only solution is to haha.

They also own SurveyComet & some other one whose name escapes me atm. They're all the same shit in different packaging.

Honestly, please don't recommend them if it can be avoided. They charge fees far more exorbitant than mTurk and then, in the case of SurveyComet, also skim from the worker's pay as a 2nd fee for the "service" they provide.
