That's good.

I just wanted to point out that it is definitely technically possible to do, and gives you some options with a few ridiculous requesters to get your wage to the point where the survey might be worth doing. It's not any worse than saving screenshots of prior pages, IMO.

And by default, Qualtrics only reports to requesters the time it took to finish the whole survey, not each individual page.

I'd like to add an asterisk that Qualtrics also lets requesters add custom Javascript, so they could technically do anything that's possible to do with Javascript (including timing your individual pages). But generally, they don't. Especially the ones that don't bother paying a decent wage. That would require writing code and testing it, which an underpaying requester is unlikely to take the time to do.

It's just a trick you might want to use once in a blue moon, when you've sunk ages into a terribly-paying survey and just want to salvage at least $6/hr. out of it, instead of the $2/hr. you might otherwise end up with.

If you've ever run into a requester that put a 30-minute timeout instead of a 30-second one, purely by accident, you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Using it all the time to just fly through surveys is guaranteed to be met with several well-deserved rejections, so a refined sense of proper human judgment and moderation is required. And CT would never endorse something like this for fear that it'd give the wrong vibe about Turkers to Requesters, so the only reason the post is even still up is that he hasn't been around lately.
