I just found out I'm getting a divorce. I'm using this forum for all of my emotional stuff today and not my mTurk stuff. I'm sorry.

I made some spectacularly bad decisions at 20.

 

And comedic relief.

 

It feels like I'm dying. I took up mTurk as a second job because he wouldn't get a first one, that's the entire reason I started. If you look at my post history, between this and my "real" job I work almost 16 hours a day on the weekdays. I'm not trying to be apathetic but it's hard. We had a rough weekend and I thought we'd make it through it but we didn't.

I'm sorry boo, that sounds awful AF. You shouldn't have to be miserable for someone else though. Do what's best for YOU, you won't get any judgement for it here.

 

I just got divorced and the part where you are actually going through separation and dividing up all your shit is soul sucking, but once that part is over you start to feel really good. Just don't do what I did and almost lose your career because you let your problems seep into work.

 

I really love all of you guys. I have been here such limited time but feel like it's just a family here. That's why I felt comfortable sharing. It literally just happened in a way. It's been coming for awhile but it's still kind of unexpected.

 

I will never get used to seeing people walk a cat.

 

I swore I would never be the crazy lady who walks her cat. Oh hey, look at me, I'm the crazy lady who walks her cat. It's not like I don't have 2 dogs that I walk every day either!

He was poking his head out of the window and dangling the other day. He didn't seem to want to run away so much as go outside for a spell. I just let him walk around where he wanted to go and when we went back inside, he no longer felt the need to try and dangle out of the window. I figure he just wanted a little outside hangout time.

I feel that I've really reached peak crazy cat lady form, and I'm ok with it.

My favorite part was my ex referring to me as a SECRET HOOKER to a judge. No guys, I was in fact NOT a secret hooker. Didn't stop him from saying it to everyone he could though.

That was super fun!

 

It's SO BAD because everything is "mine." He hasn't had a "real" job in a long time. He's former military and could be not only going to school for free but also getting a stipend for it, but he chooses to work part time back breaking work for $10 an hour. I make $40k at my "real" job (in a low cost of living area, the median is less than $20k per family) and work mTurk only to pick up his slack. His money way his, and my money was "for bills and me and our dates and everything else."
