Thanks. I'm 90% certain it's a bug on their end, it's been happening to at least @dan as well, and a few others I think he said. But yeah, I should probably change my password just in case. Also, as soon as it happened yesterday I moved all my money out of both mturk and payments, so even if they get it, they don't have much to do.

Hopefully talking to actual mTurk customer service will help, as the number the "contact customer service" link gives me is for regular amazon, who at first didn't even know what "mTurk" meant.

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of Amazon reps don't know what MTurk is. Well the good thing about the Amazon login is that it's universal, so if MTurk support doesn't help, a phone call to a regular Amazon rep might help, so they can forward you to the right people (not sure if they have a security division that uses phones lol). Those logins aren't specific to MTurk.

Please keep me updated on this, I will amend the 2FA guide I have posted to include helpful information if you find anything out.

I'm telling you. When it happens, just close your windows and quit trying to login. When you open them back up - go to worker.mturk.com and you'll be logged in. If that doesn't work - clearing cookies will fix it.

 

You get locked out for 30 if you return an active pin. It is safe to return a pin with a no tasks left or oops error
