You can message the requester and tell them what happened - they may be nice and create a makeup HIT - or they'll ignore you and get the free data.

 

How can I figure out who the requester is?

 

That's why when it's getting close to timing out I put in my Mturk ID and turn it in. Then I mail them the completion code telling them what happened. It's worked for me so far.

Try searching the HIT ID on the forum using the search feature to see if someone exported it

 

Thanks for the help. I tried that with no results. I even tried a web search for the group or HIT ID. No luck there either. Oh well, I shouldn't have been cutting it so close.
