The thing is, my boss made it very clear I was done with my contract if I took a week off to move to Cali. I told her that was fair but that I couldn't exactly work and drive across the country at the same time, so I thanked them for the work and took my leave. I expected to be done with my job when I got here.

I was shocked to still have work to do when I got here. I figured she would have me replaced by the end of the month, so I wasn't shocked when I got an e-mail saying I was removed from the project...only to get asked to come back because they aren't getting the work done with me gone.

I think I may go talk to her boss and tell him, look bruh, tick tock, please replace me.

But nicer. Luckily, it's stated in my contract I don't have to train my replacement. The Birbs ain't no sucker bb!

 

I think the most helpful part is that I can see who is reporting the time.

I don't do surveys nearly as fast as Badger/ThisPoorGuy, so if I see them report X time at Y hourly, I know I'll make a little less (on average).

I tend to go faster than most folks, though, so if someone has a borderline like $12/hr survey I know I can probably get it done in $14-15/hr time.

Its been really interesting to see. I know it makes sense that we all work at different paces, but its been a totally different experience seeing it in practice when I snag stuff to do off the board lol.

I'm looking to improve the API and aggregate data functions to hopefully make it even more useful for folks, but I like it more so far myself (bias, I know I know lol)

 

Nope. I use a HIT scraper that constantly searches for HITs and I post them on here for people to put in whatever their HIT catcher is. I put some of them in my catcher while I hope a batch drops. I get some but definitely not even close to everything I post.

If you're not using a HIT scraper, I use HIT Finder from the MTurk Suite, you can download it on the chrome store I think.

 

I need a new Pandora station. Anyone who cares to contribute to both my boredom and my station, reply to this with one artist, or one specific song by an artist. Either favorite in general or favorite to turk to. I'm going to compile them altogether into a great big TurkerHub station.

I don't usually turk to music, but I do highly recommend Star One's album "Victims of the Modern Age" if you like progressive metal. Each song is based off a scifi film (the Matrix, Blade Runner, A Clockwork Orange, Planet of the Apes etc).

 

What are your settings? I have my scan delay at 2.5, min reward 1.00, min TO 2.5 and size 25

I tend to not like vocals when I turk, so I usually listen to this, good beat to keep you going. It's a Live station which means no ads between songs that I get if I listen to my 'mix'.
