Thank you for sharing a gif from today's thread title but I am sad that you call him just dad but not "polar bear baby's dad!"

 

I think what he means that in some government programs such as food stamps - sometimes people who have food stamps end up with more spending money than people who make more than them. - so it discourages people from trying to earn more, as they may lose the benefits. Anecdotal though

 

It is a pain in the ass to get. I had plenty of years of history documented with anxiety, depression, bi polar and others including hospital stays and suicide attempts that ultimately helped by getting a sympathetic doctor that did the disability evaluation

I dont think , is referring to SSI. But programs that are meant to help people keep their head above water until they can get a better job/living situation/etc.

oh come on i took two sips of cider and i read that as carpet funnel? wth

 

I get 70% disability from the VA and tried to apply for unemployability as well as social security. They both determined that I "should" still be able to work. Noone will hire me if I could. I can't get food stamps because my disability is too much. I've applied to probably everyplace 3x. I've been jobless for 2 years. I'm going to try reapplying and if I get denied again, I might see about a lawyer that you dont have to worry about paying unless you win your case.
