It's been kind of bare lately, so let's fill it up!

 

Used to mix music online for a living, but if you hate random rejections on mTurk, you'd absolutely hate working on music for a living. Random rejections based purely on aesthetic taste. You can mix a song so that 80% of its listeners would like it, but if the artist has weird tastes and it doesn't fit his vision, you're down hours of work and won't get paid beyond the deposit you asked for.

When I moved from that to marketing, I really enjoyed being paid for objective performance metrics.

on the $10 7 hour hit, anyone else get an error message when clicking on the first decision making task? Reloaded the page adn now I have to wait 5 minutes again...

 

So I was doing one of those game Hits where you have to wait for other players yesterday. Went through the torturous instructions and a comprehension check, and then the thing hung on the "wait for other players" screen. The timer was about out of time, so I emailed the requester, told them my horribly sad predicament, and said I would have to return the HIT soon as it was about to expire. Which is what I did. And then I get an email back from today saying, "Were you able to play the game? According to MTurk you did finish the assignment and I have your data for all 5 rounds. Can you confirm that?" I am baffled once again.

 

I 100% just saved that so I can use it again LOL.

 

rabbits really are way more "pets" than people ever tend to think. mine is a two year old and her name is Jersey. she literally only uses the bathroom in her litter box that's in her cage, and she just roams around the house otherwise. she loves the cats and being petted, and eating everything i give to her. she also lays with me sometimes. i only have baby pictures on this computer right now lol but she is huge now and her ears drag the floor.

 

You're making me miss my old baby! Best first pet ever. He was a litter box pro.

 

that's a big bunny, too. i swear mine just got huge overnight. he looks like he was really nice.

Also, Jersey is a *French lop. I get them mixed up all the time. English has the crazier ears. Except Jersey is now the size of a medium sized dog.

 

Bugs was fantastic! We used to play hide and seek, and he liked to charge a little felt man I would dangle from a stick. Someone had dumped him at the humane society (just left him on the doorstep) and I got to adopt him for like 5 bucks. My dad never let me have a furry friend growing up, and Bugs was first little dude. They are great companions for sure!
