My dog had one for general anxiety over sounds like thunder and fireworks, so not the same thing.. But for him, it did help (though not 100%), but it lost its effect over time. From what I have read, though, it works well for something like 80% of dogs, and the rest are unphased by it. It's worth a try, imo.

 

I, too, am lazy and unmotivated to deal with certain things.

 

Thank you! Mines actually a sheltie mix so that's good to know. At that price it's worth trying out since it hurts to see him react like that to me leaving.

BTW for folks who are humor intolerant:

The real reason I trend away from banning folks is b/c I don't consider this place "just a forum" and I plan on continuing development of helpful tools for the community at large. Depriving folks of those tools over social nuances feels wrong, so even people I do not personally mesh with tend to get infinite chances barring unspeakable acts of stupidity.

Not to say I've never banned someone off human emotion / my annoyance level of the day, but I try not to. And as the saying goes:

 

It's pretty much the same thing as this. Maybe a different brand, but same idea.

 

Yeah shelties are herders, so that's natural for them to do that. But it's always heart-warming to seem them excited to see you back home when you return
